Possible Birthday Presents
I have been told that I am a hard person to buy birthday presents for so, to make life easier for my friends, here are a few things I don't have. My birthday is in April so you have time to shop:
- I had my heart set on aMoller Skycar for the longest time. I guess he couldn't pull it together. The Website at http://www.moller.com/ is not responding right now. Wikipedia has an article on it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moller_Skycar_M400.
- But, good news, everyone! There are a number of personal jets in various stages of production. I rather fancy the Honda for a mere $3.65 million. More here: “List of very light jets” Junkets for everyone—not just members of Congress. Can you say: "Musee d'Orsay?"
- BMW Z8. I really need one but, alas, we are getting to the end of the production run so you have probably missed our chance for a new one but, good news, I have never owned a new car so a clean used one would be super and oh so cheap. Better hurry. If 10 of my best friends ponied up $13K, it would be slick!
- Renoir's Luncheon of the Boating Party. I have just the wall for it.
- Edward Degas's Singer in Green is something that everyone must see. This reproduction does not do the original justice so you must rush real quick now to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The model is unmistakenly like the Little Dancer Aged Fourteen and given that there are a number of these in wax and other media, I think she would grace my house, also.
- While you are at the Metropolitan, mosey on over to see this Merovingian-themed armoire. Tres chic. This Tiffany fountain is wonderful. I need one of these, too.
- BBC Shakespeare Plays on DVD. Must have. 37 plays for a low, low $3K as listed on the Ambrose site but, the Shakespeare Theatre shop tells me it will sell them to me for $750 American, cash up front, and they will drop ship them.
- Send me to space! .
